Robotanic Rage (PSGJ16)

Welcome to Robotanic Rage! Robotanic Rage is a game with two clashing settings: A garden, and a battlefield. You are a robot, a weapon of war created to destroy. The battlefield is a natural place for you to be. However, you wish to break free from this existence. You want to nurture, and foster life. You want to grow a garden. You also want to protect your garden from the monsters that wish to consume the fruits of your labor. In this game you must balance these things, taking care not to grow a garden you cannot protect, nor to become a beast that cannot care for your own plants. Will you be able to harness the Robotanic Rage?

Controls:
WASD - Movement
Mouse 1 - Shoot current weapon (Battlefield) Use current seed/tool (Garden)
1-3 Choose weapon (Battlefield)
1-5 Choose seed/tool (Garden)

Tutorial: (Tentative based on design, not on active gameplay)
In this game you are tasked during the day with caring for flora that you have planted in your garden. To do so select the plant you wish to grow and walk up to a garden plot. Click anywhere to begin a short planting mini-game. Get the center to boost your plant's health! Every day you will have to care for the plants by watering them, and at the end of their lifecycle harvesting them! You gain more bountiful harvest if you avoid damaging the plants by walking on them or failing to properly perform the care tasks. Be careful and intentional with plant care and you shouldn't have a problem!

During the night you must protect your fledgling garden from monsters that wish to eat your plants. At the start you will only have your trusty mini-gun to defend your plants but as the days go on you are given access to more powerful weapons. Be careful though, as the richer your garden grows the more you attract the mindless hordes.

As you return to your garden in the morning you may find that the weapons you wield make it more difficult to properly care for your crop. Complications will arise as you attempt to plant and water and weed. Complete these complications to save your plants from the wrath of your mighty form!

TIPS!
After you inevitably succumb to the ever increasing hordes of enemies, you can share the day you reached, the quantities of your crops, and the various monster drops you obtained in the comments of this itch page by clicking the "copy" button on the death screen!

Complications will hurt your plants if you fail them, but they will not destroy your crop outright unless it is already damaged.
